UK-themed Macau in London opens after two years of renovation

The UK-themed resort's renovation continued for two years, and Las Vegas Sands finally got the opportunity to present it to many VIP guests.

As the name of the event suggests, "The Journey Begins" celebrates the start of Sands China Ltd.'s game concession, which will last for 10 years. The company pledged a massive investment of $3.7 billion (MOP 30.2 billion) to finance the city and development.

Many celebrities have taken to Macau's red carpet, the first time it has affected the industry since the COVID-19 pandemic. Among the guests was David Beckham, Sands' global ambassador.

Many artists from various jobs were hired to decorate the night. Among them were famous Chinese pianist Lang Lang; famous Hong Kong singer G.E.M., as well as famous Chinese actor, musical theater vocalist and artist Ayanga. At the end of the night, after the "Be My Guest" campaign was introduced to guests, they had a chance to enjoy a grand dinner, and during the dinner performance, the famous British jazz legend Jamie Cullum was performed.

Security guards who imitate the famous Changing of the Guard performances are also trained to do the same at the resort. There are more facilities inspired by British architecture, such as Crystal Palace, Victoria Station in London, and Piccadilly Circus.

This is a new addition to the Macau Casino Resort Group inspired by European cities. We already have Paris Macau, Venice Macau, Plaza Macau.
